8th Purley Executive Committee
The Group Executive Committee exists to support the Group. It consists of a Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer and elected members.
The Committee is responsible for:
- the maintenance of the Group's property and equipment;
- the raising of funds and the administration of the Group's finance;
- the insurance of persons, property and equipment;
- Group public occasions;
- Assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support.
The Executive are elected once a year at the AGM, when all parents are asked if they would like to be involved. The Executive Committee will meet about 3 or 4 times a year to plan social events and fund raising events. All parents are asked to either help at events like jumble sales and to attend fun nights such as the Beatle Drive, quiz nights and BBQ's.
The Executive is a hard working and fun loving group who fund raise so that we can maintain the hut and the equipment we use from arts and craft to the tents and camping equipment.
