8th Purley Scouts Activities
8th Purley Scouts take part in a wide range of activities, from traditional Scouting skills such as camping, cooking and First Aid, to adventurous activities such as archery, climbing and water skiing.
Our Scouts often take part in Scouting competitions against other Scout Troops, such as the District Checkpoint Challenge, the County Night Hike and swimming galas. Some years we also take part in the National Dragon Boating Championships.
8th Purley Scouts put on a pantomime every year before Christmas. This is a very popular event for which the Scouts spend several weeks rehearsing and decorating the Scout hut, and which they thoroughly enjoy.
