8th Purley Scout Troop
The 8th Purley Scout Troop meet on Friday evenings from 7.00pm to 9.00pm at the Scout Hut in Purley Oaks. See the map for our location.
Scouts is for young people, both boys and girls, aged from 10½ to 14. Scouts take part in both traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, survival and cooking, as well as a wide range of adventurous activities, anything from abseiling to water skiing.
Our Scout Troop take part in several camps every year. Some are local, but summer camp can be as far away as Scotland or Switzerland. They also take part in many Scouting competitions organised locally, regionally or nationally.
We currently have about 25 Scouts, boys and girls, in our Troop. We have plenty of room for more new Scouts to join us. If you would like to join, please contact us!
